5 Fundamentals to Create a PARTNERSHIP

(based upon the
4 STEPS to COMMUNICATION)


 1 - Create
     "Calm-Fidence™"
Playing friendly games to give your horse confidence and prove to him that you are not asking him to "do" anything.  This will build "Calm-Fidence™" and prove  to your horse that "Things will not hurt him" such as a lead rope thrown over the back or around the legs, or a training stick with a string swinging over his head or over the body, etc.
 
2 - Create Safe Space
Creating "spatial awareness" by moving the horse's feet with rhythmic pressure to create awareness and respect for your "bubble" or safe space.  Driving the horse back or away with clear body language using phases of pressure.
 
3 - Create a Ride from
     the Ground
Creating and understanding the link between ground work and riding.  By using cues of touch with your hands in the same places you would use your leg, You will teach your horse to yield to pressure when being ridden.  Using your breath and center to ground your body will help the horse toward balance and lightness on the ground. This will create a link to the same awareness in the saddle.
 
4 - Create a Ride from
     the Saddle
With the use of Centered Riding® techniques and additional methods, we can create a Balanced and Light riding style that will enhance the horse's movement and athletic abilities while giving the rider a greater feeling of Balance and Harmony.  With the understanding of how to align the body with breath and awareness, riding becomes less of an effort and more enjoyable for horse and rider.

 5 - Create a (Fun &
      Safe) Purpose
By incorporating the 4 Steps to Communication and a good dose of Imagination, we are now ready to put them all together into a Practical and Fun Purpose such as: Trail riding, Dressage, Reining, Jumping and many other activities along with just having Safe and Imaginative FUN!

INTENSIVES

Then you are going to love the New Intensives! 42 Clinic Hours with Barb immersing yourself and your horse in a progressive program of 2 two-day classes & 1 three day class 3 weeks apart - the cost is less than taking the clinics separately. The Intensive fee includes board for your horse and you get to stay in the Horse Play Guest House (& hot tub) FREE.  No driving back and forth to motels, No fees for boarding horse.

The Homework, Knowledge and Fun will open the door to Your Dream Partnership. The same group of Riders and horses will be signed up for all 4 Classes. This format will allow your progress to accelerate with a focus on Skills on the ground & in the saddle, Safety and Fun.  Homework will help level the playing field and again accelerate the learning opportunities. NOTE: For those of you not close to WA, you can schedule an intensive where you live. We will work with you on setting the dates for a monthly clinic for 4 months.
