Barb Apple and Colt

I would be very interested to see Barb Apple at a future Northwest Horse Fair.  She has a style and calming presence that beginning horsemen/women can easily identify with and Advanced horsemen/women can profit from. She certainly has a lot to offer the public with years of experience to back her up.
Barb Apple is a master at communication, including Equines and Humans alike.

I have attended several clinics in recent years, given by many of the "celebrity" clinicians, and you were better than all of them…  Your presentation is professional, (yet informal & fun), instructive, and personal; (none of the other clinicians came close to giving the individual attention that you gave, to each one of the participants), and I know, from talking to the other attendees, that it was much appreciated.  You refused to coddle or pamper anyone, (which would have been counter productive to their progress), yet you always praised them, for a good effort, or a good question, etc.  You are great!  And, it's very evident, that you have a genuine interest in helping those that attend, to attain a higher skill, communication, and bonding level with their equine partners.

Hosting a Barb Apple Horse Play Clinic

Barb Apple Horse Play Clinics are being hosted all over the United States and in Europe. Every one of them got started by someone, like you, who wanted to bring Barb and her wonderful abilities to their area. We sincerely thank you for your thoughtfulness and initiative in wanting to find out more about being a Horse Play Clinic Host!

Barb Apple - An Experienced and Talented Instructor

Barb is a Master Horsewoman and a gifted teacher. She not only knows her stuff, she knows how to teach it! Barb has developed a teaching approach called: Observe / Analyze / Communicate (OAC) that helps her students be able to clearly understand the tasks that they are performing.

In Barb’s clinics, students learn not only what they need to do, but WHY they need to do it. How to Observe the horse and understanding WHAT they are seeing. As Barb teaches, she inspires confidence and understanding in her students. Students can continue to apply the concepts of OAC on their own to continue making progress towards their goals.

Why Host a Barb Apple Horse Play Clinic?

Small Clinic Size...Huge Learning Potential

Maximum of 8, minimum of 6 participants in a clinic. Barb firmly believes that the safest and best environment for OAC learning is in a smaller, more personal, clinic where each student will get lots of individual attention.

Flexible Clinic Format Catered to Students' Needs

Clinic formats are always flexible, depending on the needs and desires of the students. Most include groundwork and riding lessons in which you learn:

Booking a Horse Play Clinic

Typically, we are booking Barb 4-6 months in advance, but we do occasionally have openings due to travel and schedule changes. It can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months to get a clinic booked and organized. If you already have 6 to 8 people that want to participate, the lead time is considerably shorter and we are happy to schedule you into the first available date.
*Note: travel fees may apply.
